Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

With the holidays fully upon us I wanted to share

a wonderful program that I found online.

Restaurant.com

has a program running called

"Feed It Forward"

which allows you to gift up to 40 people 

with a $10.00 credit to Restaurant.com that will

allow them to buy gift certificates to a number of restaurants 

of their choice.

If you don't have 40 people to give to you can 

donate these gift certificates to

"Random Acts of Kindness"

which will distribute them to those in need.

This program runs until December 25th

go check it out and give some holiday cheer!

In the spirit of giving,

Remember 
a few weeks ago I told you about 

Heartsy?
And how I bought some great stuff 
at fraction of the regular price?

Well I just had to share this with you!


For those of you who don't remember I purchased a store credit on Heartsy 
to the 
Etsy shop 
Karmacrochet

I used my credit to buy
4 Scrabble Tile Pendants

At $5.00 each 
they were a real steal
plus
my credit cost me half that amount!


They arrived only a few days later 
despite the fact that the shopkeeper Patricia was overwhelmed with orders in a nice padded envelope.

Each pendant came in it's own organza bag,

all ready to be given as a gift.

I'm in total envy of her packaging,

it's so pretty!

Just to confirm,

each pendant really was/is a genuine

Scrabble Tile!

The bails are nice and heavy 

and on very securely so you can 

definitely give these to the young ones.

Just make sure they don't get them wet. 

These are not waterproof!

I talked to the fabulous shop owner

 and asked her a few questions.

Tell me a little bit about yourself:

  My name is Patricia. I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and for the past 12 years I live in Dallas, TX. 

  I enjoy a good number of crafts that is why you will see a variety of items at my store, from pendants to pins to neckwarmers and blankets. 

  I love all animals, but I have a very soft spot for cats.

  Crafting is my way to balance a very stressful day job and allows me to unwind at the end of the day.

Where do you get the inspiration to make your pendants and pins?

  I’m drawn to bright colors and funny sayings as well as everything Japanese and French. I’m constantly searching for images and things that reflect that.
